Mycelium project Mycelium replacement for Christmas tree toys/balls. During this project, we experimented with various shapes made from mycelium to understand its properties and characteristics. Afterward, I aimed to identify the most suitable products for mycelium. Given its potential to replace plastic, I recognized the recurring issue of people decorating their homes, offices, and stores with plastic ornaments annually, posing risks to children and pets due to their flammability. Utilizing Photoshop, I created concepts for biodegradable Christmas ornaments that address these concerns while offering a natural and neutral aesthetic alongside practical benefits.
